There are plenty of other activities in Gökova on those rare days when the wind isn't blowing or if you are looking for a well-earned day off from kitesurfing.

Boat trips

Excursion boats leave every morning from Akyaka harbour, visiting a number of beautiful spots in the Gulf of Gökova, including Cleopatra's Island and Incekum beach, for swimming and lunch spots. You can also charter Turkish gulets for longer trips along the coast from Gökova or nearby Marmaris, which is one of Turkey's main yachting centres.

Diving

The coastline around Marmaris has some good diving and introductory dives and PADI courses can be arranged. For certified divers day trips can be organised throughout the year.

Mountain biking

Explore quiet backcountry trails through lovely countryside or exciting 'white-knuckle' single track decents around Gökova. Join a guided tour or hire a bike and explore independently.

Sailing

Bare board or skippered rentals and sailing courses are alll available in Marmaris. Marmaris and Bodrum are popular starting points for cruising around the Greek islands or along the Turkish coast.

Whitewater rafting

Whitewater rafting trips can be organised on the Dalaman river throughout the summer months.

Sea kayaking

Paddle up the crystal clear waters of the Gökova River or explore the beautiful coastline of the Gulf of Gökova by sea kayak. Daily and multi-day trips.
